is drawing anime hard? Anime is a style of craftsmanship that has generally a terrible standing, particularly among workmanship educators. Large numbers of them deter their craft understudies from getting going with the style since it’s viewed as well “simple.” But is this the situation? Is drawing anime hard?

The short response is that anime isn’t difficult to draw using any means, yet it will become more straightforward with rehearses. Anime is, without a doubt, a particular style of workmanship that is recognizable among others. The style especially centers around facial elements and awesome eyes. It isn’t excessively founded on authenticity, and keeping in mind that the characters in anime in all actuality do address genuine individuals, they don’t exactly appear to be identical.

While anime is in no way, shape, or form the most troublesome style to attract, there are a few troublesome viewpoints to anime. That’s what a great many people feel, since anime is a straightforward style, it’s something that anybody can do.

Be that as it may, similarly with most artistic expressions, it will take practice before turning into a master of drawing anime.

There are a few manners by which it tends to have contended that anime is harder to draw than artistic work.

This is because of the way that you’re by and large going to take something and duplicate it while drawing compelling artwork; in any case, with anime, there are a few essential things that you should be aware of before beginning. We will dive into those essentials in more detail in the following segment.

Assuming some individuals believe that anime is excessively simple, we urge them to draw anime without having any earlier information about craftsmanship. You’ll see rapidly that it’s quite troublesome!

Presently, how about we get into a portion of the various things that you ought to be aware of before you begin to draw anime. what makes drawing anime simpler?

Basics of Drawing Anime

Before you take a pencil to your paper, it’s critical to realize that there are various styles of anime and various procedures that you want to see first. You don’t be guaranteed to have to turn into a specialist, yet you should comprehend and gain proficiency with these.

Creation

The structure is the way the various components of a piece of workmanship are organized. Certain individuals don’t be guaranteed to imagine that organization is all that significant, and in no way, shape or form do you need to precisely observe the guidelines.

Make certain to concentrate on how lines, shapes, colors, surface, profundity, space, and tone should be stressed in a piece of workmanship. This is intended to assist with advancing what you are attempting to draw, and its accentuation, and it can assist with causing your craft to seem generally more appealing.

Point of view

Point of view is essential to get familiar with regardless of what style of workmanship you anticipate rehearsing.

Even though, in anime, the accentuation is all the more so put on the characters rather than foundations and scenes, having a fundamental comprehension of how viewpoint functions will assist you with working on your abilities as a craftsman.

Understanding how individuals see the point of view is another key component.

As you probably are aware, the motivation behind drawing on a piece of paper or material is to make a three-layered item or individual wake up on a two-layered surface. Understanding how viewpoint functions will assist you with doing this in a more expert and improved way.

Human life structures

This sounds frightful, however, indeed, it is a must that you become familiar with the essentials of human life structures before you begin to draw anime. It’s significant to have the option to draw reasonable characters.

Notwithstanding, this doesn’t be guaranteed to imply that you want to realize every one of the intricate details of human life structures simply learning the nuts and bolts and all that is on the external body is sufficient. For instance, you should realize where the nose goes on the face, how to situate the eyes everything being equal, and how to draw hands, and that’s just the beginning.

Variety Hypothesis

The variety hypothesis is one more region that you want to concentrate on before you begin to draw any sort of craftsmanship. This will assist you with figuring out the connections between the various varieties, beyond knowing how to blend various tones. It is additionally vital to figure out how we see tone.

A portion of the various variables that the variety hypothesis incorporates is tone, immersion, tone, esteem (we will get into this one more beneath), high key and serene, colors, shades, and various temperatures. Understanding these will assist you with deciding your variety range for any masterpiece, including anime.

Light and Shadow

You’ll likewise know about the connection between light and shadow while drawing anime. This is the very thing that will assist you with characterizing the various articles in your work and cause your work to seem three-layered. It would be really smart to get going by looking at an article before you.

See where the light hits and how the shadows show up? That is the very thing that you ought to mean to catch in your specialty. There are a lot of instructional exercises to assist you with this and you certainly will go over this in your specialty classes.

Moreover, you can involve anime drawings so that references might be able to perceive how others caught light and shadow.

Values

Values in workmanship address how light or dim a variety is on a dark to white scale. Numerous craftsmen believe this to be significantly more significant than a variety of choices concerning drawing or painting.

It is workable for there to be two unique varieties that have a similar worth when put on their singular variety wheel.

Colors are vital for your specialty, yet the worth will assist with giving more construction. Worth can assist you with showing more profundity in a piece of craftsmanship.

The fundamental objective, to simplify this more, is that if you somehow managed to make your work high contrast, every one of the subtleties would continue as before as they were previously.

[wptb id=1623]

1.) Use References, However, Don’t Duplicate

It’s hard to have the option to draw anything from memory. Thus, for this reason, you ought to continuously begin with a reference picture when you’re simply getting into any new type of workmanship. There are lots of various anime references that you will want to see on the web.

Attempt to work with various postures, varieties, designs, and individuals; having all of this extra practice will assist you with working on the nature of your craft with training.

If you just attempt to draw something from memory, there are numerous significant subtleties that you will probably miss. Furthermore, having these references to study from will make you more mindful of what should be finished.

With that being all said, in any case, it’s significant not to duplicate another person’s work. One reason for this is because of copyright trustworthiness, but on the other hand, this is because you will wind up essentially duplicating their style and not taking on your own.

It’s essential to have your style when you begin to turn into a craftsman. There are highlights that you can decide to take on from the craftsman’s work, yet on the off chance that you just duplicate, you likewise risk replicating any of their imperfections, which won’t be guaranteed to assist you with developing.

2.) Continue To Rehearse

You might have become fed up with hearing this, however, it will assist you with improving as a craftsman. No style of craftsmanship is simple, yet workmanship is unreasonably easy assuming you continue rehearsing and trying to turn out to be better.

Assuming you observe that there are regions where you’re battling with regards to drawing anime, like drawing hands, hair, or facial highlights, then, at that point, ensure that you continue to rehearse.

It’s smarter to draw ineffectively the initial not many times yet improve over the long haul than to simply surrender and never allow yourself the opportunity to upgrade your abilities. With all the information that you will have about anime, it merits rehearsing to turn out to be better and to upgrade your abilities as a craftsman.

3.) Observe Rules

Numerous craftsmen laugh at utilizing rules, saying that craftsmanship is something that communicates how the craftsman feels and it shouldn’t have any standards. However, rules can truly take care of you on the off chance that you’re simply beginning.

Anime can be hard to comprehend from the get-go, yet keeping the rules for how to draw great anime and various instructional exercises could help you out as a novice. When you have this down to a science, then, at that point, you will want to fan out and away from the rules.

How To Draw Anime And Manga Feet In Different Places https://easyanimedrawing.com/draw-anime-and-manga-feet/ https://easyanimedrawing.com/draw-anime-and-manga-feet/#respond Wed, 16 Mar 2022 12:58:20 +0000 https://easyanimedrawings.com/?p=916 How To Draw Anime And Manga Feet In Different Places

Draw Anime And Manga Feet – This tutorial provides foot painting tips on anime and manga styles from different perspectives in a few other areas.

You may also want to check out the How to Draw Anime Feet and Manga From Different Views before looking at this if you have not already done so. Provides detailed instructions on the basics of foot painting.

Drawings of Anime Feet in Different Places

Start by drawing the general shape / large shapes of the foot first. If you do not just draw a scene close to the feet, everyone should start by removing the full dimensions of the person first.

What You Should Beware Of When Drawing Anime Feet And Lying In Different Scenarios

There are two major parts to consider when drawing feet: the foot itself and the toes. Although the toes may move individually, during normal foot movement, they usually stay together.

Although we focus on the feet in this study, it is also important to note the position of the legs towards the feet. It is easy to lose track of the legs and the whole body if you only draw feet, but you have to remember them. Being aware of everything can help you to avoid making mistakes. If we use the example of a person standing on his toes, the leg position towards the foot will not change when the person stands up to his toes. The legs will stay straight.

Harmony Between Different Views When Drawing

Remember to keep the measurements (height, length, etc …) of the foot the same between different areas.

It is also essential to be consistent between different views of the same object. For example, if the drawing foot is at a certain angle when shown in the same manga scene, you want to keep the same when you show the same foot with a different view of another scene (as long as the character is drawing does not move).

4 Essential Steps To Draw Your Manga Or Anime Character https://easyanimedrawing.com/draw-your-manga-or-anime-character/ https://easyanimedrawing.com/draw-your-manga-or-anime-character/#respond Thu, 10 Mar 2022 16:21:40 +0000 https://easyanimedrawings.com/?p=899 4 Essential Steps To Draw Your Manga Or Anime Character

Draw Your Manga Or Anime Character – If you are looking to create your manga or even your animation, you will probably need to draw and design at least one character.

Even if you feel comfortable with your drawing skills designing a character that you will draw more often can be challenging. The following tutorial gives tips on the most critical steps to making your manga or anime character.

Unique Style/Anime Ninja Girl Design

Designing an anime or manga character is different from making a one-time drawing. In a past drawing, you have to worry about what your title will look like in that one idea of that one drawing. The character will probably have to be drawn multiple times from multiple views/angles in manga or animation.

The Two Most Essential Elements in the Design of Anime and Manga Characters:

A fake character or cartoon should have a relatively simple design (it can take a lot of time to draw a complex character many times).

It would help to consider what a manga or anime character would look like in all views/angles (you will need to draw them in multiple scenes several times).

How to Design a Manga or Anime Character Step by Step

Step 1 – Character Profile

Decide what your character will be like, and choose the little details you need to transfer to your manga viewer or animation. For example, what clothes or accessories do they need to look their best?

If you want to design a person or at least a humanoid, you should write down some basic information about your character, such as his age, work, personality, etc. Their structure may be based on these factors.

Step 2 – Solid Character Drawings

Draw negative sketches of your ideas. These can appear in any view and in any position you like. Draw whatever you feel good about your character. Make at least one full-body painting and close the facial expressions.

If your character needs to be too big or too small, you can draw them near what might be a middle man to get a better idea of his size.

Use the minimum amount of information you need when drawing. Do not make designs too complicated. You can add more details later if you feel your character is evident.

When you have finished drawing, please choose your favorite drawings and combine them into a single letter design.

To enhance your design, draw your character from the front, sides (unless they are the same), and the background look. You can also remove additional ideas if you need them.

Step 3 – Reference

Making these drawings is that you will have a design around your character. You can use these pictures to reference when you draw the same letter in your manga or animation.

It is important to note here that certain parts of the character may not be completely compatible with others in different perspectives because of the concept (see: Lesson Drawing Lesson and How It Relates to Anime). To help you keep the same proportions in different perspectives, you can draw directions from one body part to one body in another view. You can see that from the example above when you look at your feet. Because we look down on our feet when we look ahead, and because they are very accessible to the viewer, they go a little further in the direction.

Step 4 – Color in Anime Character

The lie is usually black and white, but the color is still used in some places (cover, for example).

Although you may have specific colors in your character’s mind, you should be aware of an essential aspect of color.

Some colors go better than others. Usually, these are matching colors or cross each other on the color wheel (black and white go hand in hand with almost everything). You can often see cozy colors when you look at the color schemes of the famous anime characters. Colors do not need to be the same as those in the color wheel can be a given color change.

Anime Girl or Manga Ninja With the Color Wheel

Manga Color or Anime Characters

You should also choose the right colors for the type of character you are trying to create. Colors can evoke certain emotions. For example, blue is considered an excellent color, and red is warm. So when we say you want to design a mythical character who uses the magic of snow, you probably don’t want to use a lot of red in its construction.

Bonus tips

Design characters to match the story. Many mangas have characters that look normal and are still very good. Have a realistic balance between what is right and wrong in your case.

For example, if you are making a manga, “Piece of Life,” you should probably have low-level character designs. If you are doing fantasy or sci-fi manga, you can create slightly unusual designs.

Do not confine actors to other artists. I mean copying most of the design while making insignificant changes. It is good to be inspired in the work of others but make sure you bring enough ideas.

Another good sign is when people look at your drawings and say something in the lines of “Oh isn’t it and so from this show?”. Especially when more than one person tells you that about the same character. What do you say if you copy too much?

Conclusion

Properly designing a manga or anime character can be a lot of work, but it can also be fun. If you think you have a good idea for manga or anime, definitely try it.

How To Draw Anime Facial Hair – Beards and Mustaches https://easyanimedrawing.com/draw-anime-facial-hair/ https://easyanimedrawing.com/draw-anime-facial-hair/#respond Sun, 06 Mar 2022 10:34:26 +0000 https://easyanimedrawings.com/?p=866 How To Draw Anime Facial Hair – Beards and Mustaches

Draw Anime Facial Hair – This tutorial looks at drawing anime facial hair, including beards, mustaches, and sideburns. Like other facial features, a specific facial hairstyle can help emphasize a particular type of character.

Examples of Anime Face Painting Hair

There are many ways to paint anime or manga facial hair. This lesson goes beyond some basic and simple examples. It can be beneficial if you are a beginner.

Normal Facial Hair Structure

Before painting a beard or mustache, it is good to have a complete understanding of the shape of facial hair.

Although facial hair may vary in shape for this study, we will look at a prevalent example. Like the picture above, facial hair is usually grown from the sides to the hair on the cheeks. Then the hair falls out from the nose and bends over the upper lip. The hair then grows down to form the lower lip down to the chin, but openings on each side of the lips to the floor.

If you want to paint a character who looks like he has not shaved in a few days but does not have a beard or mustache, he starts by painting the hair structure described above and then puts a little shade in place. You do not need a visible frame around the shape as the hair is too short to be defined, but you can draw very few short hairs.

Drawing a Beard Full of Anime

Drawing a full beard begins with removing the perfect shape of the hair, as described in the previous example. Then you can somehow draw the hair down and finally draw some bumps on the edges. Draw clumps facing the opposite side to make them look more natural.

This type of facial hair would be a good fit for a character who has been out in the wilderness for a while away from civilization.

Drawing Anime Beard With Mustaches and Sideburns

This type of facial hair is similar to the previous model but with shaved cheeks and shorter in length. It can give the character a lot of “manhood” but at the same time give it a more “sophisticated” look.

To paint this type of facial hair, you can also paint the general shape first (but with the cheeks shaved) and then paint down. Draw a few small clumps at the end.

Drawing Anime Beard and Mustache

This type of beard and mustache often gives the character a sophisticated look like a doctor or a scientist.

I am drawing this type of facial hair again, as in previous examples, starting with the perfect shape of the upper part of the hair and the project is down.

Drawing Anime Beard With Sideburns

The side beard can give the character an extra “spiritual look” as a monk as an example.

To paint this type of hair, you can leave the beard and cheeks “blank.” Draw sideburns connected to the beard and the part where the facial hair grows from the chin.

Drawing Anime Goatee

The scapegoat is easy to draw as it is long fur under the chin. In anime and manga, it can often be seen in the characters of the “criminal” genre.

To draw a goat in the example above, draw hair that grows down from the lower lip but does not touch (leave a good spot) and spread out as they fall. Draw light lumps at the end.

Drawing Anime Mustache

When it comes to anime mustaches and manga like the above example, they are rare, but you can see some of the characters in retro-style themes.

To paint this mustache, simply draw it under the nose and leave a space between the mouth (this is where the upper lip can be, but the lips are usually not drawn in anime). And hair. If you want a mustache with long hair, then you can even cover your mouth completely.

Conclusion

Anime facial hair is not very difficult to paint, but just like natural hair, there are countless variations. This tutorial offers some of the basics, but if you need more help, you can always check out the work of other artists and real hair examples.

How to Draw Anime & Manga Arms Tutorial https://easyanimedrawing.com/draw-anime-manga-arms/ https://easyanimedrawing.com/draw-anime-manga-arms/#respond Sun, 06 Feb 2022 06:06:36 +0000 https://easyanimedrawings.com/?p=496 How to Draw Anime & Manga Arms Tutorial

Draw Anime Manga Arms – This tutorial explains how to draw anime and manga-style arms by dividing patterns and examples of drawing arms in different places.

This tutorial will focus on the most common, very realistic style of anime arms. Examples are those of the arms of a young female character, but you can pull the arms of young male characters in the same way (to change the body).

Before pulling out weapons, it is good to analyze their basic dimensions.

Although these may vary slightly from person to person (and style and style), you can usually use the example above.

The distance from the bottom of the shoulder down to the elbow and from the elbow down to the wrist is usually the same (fingers and palms are usually the same lengths as the hand).

If you are drawing almost anything (including arms), start with a light sketch and then go over it with black lines after you are sure you have the right dimensions.

Although it may be a little tricky, it is also important to try and maintain this balance when drawing arms in different places.

How To Draw Anime Weapons With Different Cones

When the arms bend, the biggest change is when the elbow pops out, even when it bends sharply. When the arm helps to straighten the elbow area, it tends to recede slightly.

There will be some “wrap” on the side facing the elbow if the arm is curved enough.

How to Draw Anime Weapons in different twists

If you look at the arm from the same view but with different wrists, it will appear smaller or wider in different places.

Using the outstretched arm and the palm facing the viewer as a base, you can see a slight difference below as the arm moves.

When drawing the arm with the palm upwards, draw all the arm parts past the elbow smaller.

When drawing the arm upside down, draw the wrist “lower” as the viewer faces away.

Drawing an arm with the palm facing away makes the viewer “below the elbow” smaller, but drawing the wrist will serve as a basic example.

How To Draw Anime Weapons In Different Positions

When drawing anime arms in different places like the examples below, keep the dimensions mentioned earlier.

Since this set of curved arms does not have much muscle, the biceps appear very slowly. You can even leave the drawing at that moment. If you want to advertise more details, you can also give suggestions of the lower part of the biceps in just a few lines.

The raised arms you can draw are similar to those extended in the previous examples. The main difference will be the extended shoulder muscles.

Drawing Anime Arms On The Sides Of The Body

Suppose you draw the arms held on the sides of the body like a standing character where the observations of the arms will not be completely straight. Draw and bend slightly from the body past the elbows.

Drawing Anime Weapons When Parts Of The Arm Are Hidden

When drawing anime arms when parts of one or both arms are hidden, you can use the method below to help you.

Drawing Cross-stemmed anime arms

As in the example above, drawing the opposite anime arms is a good idea to think of the drawing as “look back and forth.”

Being able to look at the arms as “see-through” allows you to know that the visible parts of the arms are positioned correctly, for example, fingers on the left arm.

You do not need to draw hidden details like each finger in the previous example. Instead, draw the example above to help you measure their overall size and location.

After making sure everything looks right, clear the hidden parts, add a little detail and move on to your drawing with solid black lines.

Drawing Anime Weapons Back In The Head

To draw the arms behind the head, you can also use the previous example. Since this is a simple situation, you can draw; you can even estimate where the hidden parts of the arms will be placed without seeing it by drawing (although you can still if you are not sure).

Just make sure there is enough space for the hands hidden behind the head.

Drawing anime weapons in the background

To draw the arms held in the back, you can also draw or measure the location of the hidden parts.

In this case, make sure that the arms are fitted so that they have sufficient space to meet at the back.

Also, keep in mind that the arms will usually bend slightly when in this position.

Conclusion

The arms can be challenging for the body to draw because of their ability to create many combinations of twists and turns. To avoid mistakes when drawing, always try and keep the measurements in mind and compare the size of one part of the arm to the other.

How to Draw Anime Kissing Lips & Face Tutorial https://easyanimedrawing.com/draw-anime-kissing-lips/ https://easyanimedrawing.com/draw-anime-kissing-lips/#respond Fri, 04 Feb 2022 07:31:24 +0000 https://easyanimedrawings.com/?p=462 How to Draw Anime Kissing Lips & Face Tutorial

Draw Anime Kissing Lips – This tutorial explains how to draw refreshing anime lips and faces from two different head views with different angles.

This tutorial focuses on showing the “refreshing” look in a woman anime, but it can help you if you are looking for an easy way to draw ahead with different angles.

Drawing Kissing Anime Lips

Anime characters are usually drawn without showing their lips. However, some speeches and intimate scenes of facial lips may be shown in full or partial.

For refreshing anime, lips draw the mouth slightly open with the upper part shaped like an “M” flat and the lower part similar to the “U” flat shape. Give the upper lip one small curve and the lower lip with two large curves intersecting.

With a side view, you can draw anime lips similar to natural lips but leave them as silhouettes without showing internal details.

Above and below, you can see the size of the face used for this study.

You may already be aware of this once you have seen some of the lessons here on EasyAnimeDrawing.

Finally, you can see how facial features change when you make a “refreshing face” compared to normal speech.

The main changes are:

  • Eyes closed – the upper eyelashes will change until the end of the eyes
  • Open mouth – lips painted as described above and jaw slightly lower

You may also notice some green added to the cheeks. You can paint the blush with just a few stripes.

For reference, you can see what this character would look like with his usual head-to-head and face-to-face speech.

Anime Girl Face – Side View

You can also see an example of a side view diagram above.

Drawing Face Anime Face – Preview

Draw a “refreshing face” in the front view area and draw face features as described earlier (eyes closed, slightly open mouth, and blink).

Drawing Face Anime Face – Side View

Above, you can also see the same face painted “refreshing expressions” in a side view.

This pattern can be used to draw a character who kisses someone underneath him. For example, he kissed his little sister/brother on the forehead. But often, the head is tilted upward when kissing on the cheek or lips so that the above example does not always work.

Drawing A Refreshing Anime Face With Lifted Head – Side View

On the side, view head tilted, it is easy to draw. You can replace the previous face painting.

The only tricky part is drawing hair. Draw the upper part of the hair around it and the head and short clumps of slightly angles in line with the inclination. Keep long sections of the hair hanging down like the previous example.

If the hair is long, it is more likely to fall out. Very short hair will go around the head, and medium hair will bend down but not fully hang like long hair.

Finally, the most challenging example of this study.

Drawing a pre-raised head can be very difficult because all face features and scales will change. However, you can use the method below to make drawing an angle head much easier.

Removing Lines From One View to Another

If you are struggling with drawing a raised head (lowered metal) in the preview, a good strategy is to draw that same head with a side view. Next, project a set of lines from each major facial feature. These lines will give you the placement of that same head angle facial features in the preview!

Please note that you do not need to do this every time you paint, but it would be a good practice until you get the hang of how to paint a face at different angles without additional help.

You may also notice a slight bump on the left side of the face. This is an option but can help show that the head is tilted upwards.

Conclusion

Drawing refreshing anime lips is easy, but painting the whole face (especially from different angles) can be very difficult. We hope the tips and suggestions given in this tutorial will help you better understand how to draw these.

How to Draw Anime Pouting Face Tutorial https://easyanimedrawing.com/draw-anime-pouting-face/ https://easyanimedrawing.com/draw-anime-pouting-face/#respond Tue, 01 Feb 2022 13:58:22 +0000 https://easyanimedrawings.com/?p=311 How to Draw Anime Pouting Face Tutorial

Draw Anime Pouting Face – This tutorial shows you how to draw an anime or manga-style face with puffy cheeks and a three-quarters (3/4) view.

Dirty faces are the most common expression in anime and manga. It can be tricky to draw because, unlike many other expressions, only facial features are corrected, and the “face” is distorted with proud cheeks.

Pointing faces are usually drawn primarily in two views, front view (direct viewing) and 3/4 view. Preview is often used to show a “marked” character. In contrast, 3/4 view is used for situations where in addition to being “marked,” the character is either embarrassed or embarrassed (usually looking away from the viewer). (Draw Anime Pouting Face)

Normal Speech Before Expressing Speech – Preview

Before drawing an animated anime or a manga character, it is good to know what they will look like in their usual way. This makes it easy to see how much you adjust to their facial expressions and facial features.

With the character used in this tutorial, you can see their general expression above.

Anime Face Ratings – Preview

Above, you can see the “normal” size of anime/manga face painting recommended in many similar lessons here on AnimeOutline.

In this case, the eyes are below the flat face and the nose between it and the chin. The ears are located between the upper and lower eyes of the nose. The mouth is placed first by cutting the lower lip area (between the nose and chin) and then drawn slightly above it.

You can see what the same character will look like with high cheeks.

Drawing Anime Suggested Face – Preview

You can see the change in facial features on the puffy face in the example above.

You will often want to draw down eyebrows and slightly melted eyes to get a shy face. Draw the mouth into a vertical curve (opposite the usual / smiling) with small curves on the sides (created by the protruding cheeks).

Finally, draw the cheeks attached to the sides (making the underside of the face a little wider) to show that they are swollen. (Draw Anime Pouting Face)

Anime Haughty vs. Normal Cheeks – Preview

Above, you can see a scattering of the normal lower part of the face (in front view) compared to a raised face with swollen cheeks.

Ordinary Speech Before Delivering Speech – See 3/4

With a 3/4 look, we can also look at what a face looks like with their regular appearance first.

Anime Face Ratings – 3/4 View

You can also see anime/manga face measurements in 3/4 view. These will be the same as described in the preview (as it is the same character).

Anime Pouting Face Drawing – 3/4 View

You can also see what the same character would look like with an embarrassed face and puffy cheeks in a 3/4 look.

Anime Face Drawing Face – 3/4 View

To get a smoother face in 3/4 look, re-draw the eyebrows slightly down and the eyes down (voluntarily) and slightly flatter.

Apply green on the cheeks and draw the mouth slightly towards the nose. Repeat the mouth with a vertical curve (opposite the normal) and two small curves on the sides.

The expression is slightly different from the original as it also adds embarrassment to the character. Adding a smirk on the cheeks and drawing down the eyes helps to strengthen the look / embarrassing look. (Draw Anime Pouting Face)

Anime Haughty vs. Ordinary Cheeks – Watch 3/4

You can also compare the usual arrogant cheeks (or cheek in this case) of the anime character in this 3/4 view.

Conclusion

Anime and manga style faces are a bit complicated, and some of the anime expressions are due to the puffy cheeks and the most commonly used (very difficult to draw) 3/4 view. We hope this tutorial has helped you better understand how to draw yourself.

Draw Anime Eyelashes – This tutorial shows you how to draw different anime and manga eyelashes from the simplest to the most practical styles.

The eyes are probably the most defining part of the anime style, and the eyelashes are the most important part of them. This tutorial shows a few examples of anime eyelashes and provides quick tips for drawing them.

Drawing Simple Anime Eyelashes

The most basic types of anime eyelashes are firmer ones without individual lashes. These usually cover the top and bottom, but only the upper eyelashes can be shown in some simplified styles. (Draw Anime Eyelashes)

Drawing these eyelashes is easy. Start with an outline for all of them.

Make the upper eyelashes much larger than the bottom. Be careful not to make the lower eyelashes too tight, or your character may look like you have pockets under their eyes or a dark eye.

Fill the eyelashes with black paint when you are done with the line drawing.

Above, you can see what these types of eyelashes can look like with a fully painted eye.

Drawing Normal Anime Eyebrows

These are the most common eyelashes, with variations seen in most anime and manga, where a few individual strokes are shown. (Draw Anime Eyelashes)

Similar to the previous example, we outline the eyelashes without each lash.

Re-fill the frame of the eyelashes with black.

Eyebrows usually come out close to the eye, so keep this in mind when painting. Even if you do not need to show a full transformation, you should keep a few pointed eyebrows, usually pointing in the right direction for that part of the eye.

Since eyelashes are very small and simple, you can shade and paint them simultaneously. Add large eyelashes on the outer corners of the eyes and small on the inner corners and lower eyelids.

Again you can see what the eyes can look like with these eyelashes if they are fully painted.

Drawing Semi-Realistic Anime Eyelashes

Real eyelashes are rare in anime as they take a lot of time to draw. This is most likely seen in manga or peace / individual art covers. (Draw Anime Eyelashes)

Same as some examples, start by drawing the outer shape of the eyelashes but draw the upper and lower part as a single shape.

However, also complete the drawings of black eyelashes.

The eyelashes in this example are dense, so you may need to apply several lashes each. Draw a thick line towards the base and narrow at the edges.

Unlike previous examples, they make these real eyelashes uneven (different for each eye). To avoid looking like a “Doll,” try again to draw them slightly at each other and make a few strokes.

And be sure to draw curly eyelashes to keep them looking natural. The most common mistake is to draw eyelashes in straight lines.

Above, you can also see the eyes completely removed from this with lashes that look realistic.

Drawing “Light” Anime Eyelashes

These eyelashes are similar to the second model but are less common. They are used for letters when you want the lases to be bright colors. (Draw Anime Eyelashes)

Draw these by first showing their inner shape. And you want to draw thin lines as the thick frame will make these eyelashes look weird.

Next, you can slightly outline and clear the parts where you want to add each stripe or draw it quickly.

If you are drawing all the shapes right away, try and make sure the outer curve is still in the path while drawing each stripe.

As shown in the blue lines in the example above, parts of the outer line broken by the eyelids still follow the same curve.

When you are done with the line drawing, fill the eyelashes with light color or shading so that the frame stays visible.

Letters with light eyelashes also usually have a light eye/hair color. You can see an example of how this might look above.
