How to Draw Anime Christmas Santa Hat Girl

Draw Anime Christmas Santa – This tutorial shows how to draw an anime girl wearing a Santa hat. It contains twelve steps with detailed examples of the different stages of the drawing process.

The girl in the model will also be wearing a Christmas dress and will have a fun/happy speech that may be appropriate for the holidays.

This tutorial provides a detailed description of the drawing process; it is very long, but hopefully, that will make it easier to follow it. (Draw Anime Christmas Santa)

Please note that although the ratings used in this study follow most of the general guidelines here on AnimeOutline, they are still somehow posted to this particular character and may differ slightly from those in other similar studies.

Also, note that you will need to clear some of the frames through the different steps. If you are going to draw with a pencil and paper, make sure you draw simple lines to make it easier. You can darken it later when you feel that everything is in the right place.

Step 1 – Draw a Head

Start by making a straight line in the middle of your drawing area. The purpose is to act as a guideline to help you determine if both sides of the face are the same width. (Draw Anime Christmas Santa)

Towards the end of the guide, the line draws the top of the head, as shown in the example. This should be close to the shape in the circle.

Descending from the upper part adds to the lower part of the head. You can also see the separation of the various lines/curves in the example above.

Start with a pair of slightly rotated lines towards the centre of the head, followed by a set of curves. Next, draw another set of lines facing the centre of the head (above the previous set). Finally, connect the two sides with a small chin curve below.

Step 2 – Draw Neck and Shoulders

Another pair of lines go down from the lower part of the head project to show the neck. These should turn into shoulder/shoulder muscles on each side. (Draw Anime Christmas Santa)

Step 3 – Draw Eyes

You can draw a horizontal line that divides the head into two equal parts to set the eyes. Draw eyes directly below this line.

In this section, you can leave most of their internal details as the goal is to find the right size and shape.

Eye space

Please keep your eyes far enough away so that you can put one eye in between them.

Step 4: Draw Eyebrows

Above the eyes draw the eyebrows. In this particular speech, they will be raised, so you will want to draw them with their inner ends slightly raised and their overall shape slightly higher than you would in ordinary speech. (Draw Anime Christmas Santa)

In this case, the eyebrows are very small but do not reach the point of drawing in just one line. You can make several lines to give them the right thickness (especially around their inner edges), but make sure you keep it very simple (at this drawing stage).

Step 5 – Draw Ears

Place the ears and their upper parts near the upper part of the eyes and their lower parts near the centre between the eyes and under the chin.

Leave the details inside the ears as most of them will be covered with hair.

Step 6 – Draw Nose

Draw the nose like the most beautiful dot with its bottom between the eyes and under the chin.

Step 7 – Draw the Mouth

In this case, the girl will be smiling (showing teeth), so the mouth placement will be adjusted accordingly. (Draw Anime Christmas Santa)

The drawing is placed low between the nose and chin, as shown in the example.

Step 8 – Draw Hair

Hair drawing will be divided into three small steps and will divide into different parts (front, sides and back/top).

Draw hair that goes beyond the frame of the head/face features. You can delete the parts covered by it later.

Before entering this step, you can also clear any line of placement features.

Also, please note that some parts of the hair will be covered with a mask in the latest steps and will need to be wiped. However, to help give you a better understanding of how to draw it, you will see full hair extensions below.

Paint Before Hair

Start by drawing the front part of the hair, as shown in the example above. Since these are anime haircuts, draw them into large pieces with straight ends. (Draw Anime Christmas Santa)

Draw the sides of the hair

With this hairstyle, you draw the side parts of the hair to look very nice. Each side can be a large group with a small curve that forms its shape (face hug) and the split-tip below.

Draw Background Hair

Finally, add the top/back section. You can think of this as “back” hair. The upper part of this section should follow the shape of the head a certain distance from it to give the hair volume.

The lower part should be a series of short and medium hair similar to the front section.

Clean Hair Dye

Finally, as mentioned at the beginning of this step, erase the parts of the head/face features covered with hair to have a beautiful and clean design like the example above. (Draw Anime Christmas Santa)

Step 9 – Draw Clothes

This step will also be broken down into smaller steps that will include adding a Santa hat, ribbon and other less visible clothing.

Draw Santa’s hat

Just as you draw hair on your head, draw Santa’s hat on the hair.

At this point, you can easily make the pom into just a circle.

Draw a Cloth

The upper part of the garment is shown in the example above.

Draw the Ribbon

Finally, add a ribbon to the neck. (Draw Anime Christmas Santa)

Ribbon Drawing Step by Step

You can see the split drawing ribbon in the example above.

  • Draw lace on the neck
  • Insert awareness inside
  • Draw a small “bow-tie” that looks like a ribbon
  • Add the ends of the hanging rope

Clean Cloth Drawer

Repeat the painting by wiping all the body parts covered with clothing. As shown in the example above, you can then add a ribbon and fluff wrap to the pom. (Draw Anime Christmas Santa)

Draw the fluff into a few pieces (like hair) on the top of the circle, using it as a guide to help maintain a round pom shape. You can delete the circle when you’re done.

Step 10 – Draw Small Details

Next, draw the inner details of the eyes and Eyelashes.

Be sure to add a hint of eyelids over it.

You can also add a small suggestion of curling ear to the visible part of each ear (it may be difficult to see in the example). (Draw Anime Christmas Santa)

Once you are done with this step, you can trace your lines with a firm grip to darken them.

Step 11 – Add Color

Finally, you can color the drawing. In this case, the garment will be red and white. The hair will be brown, and the eyes will be green.

All in all, this will create a beautiful combination of holiday colors.

As you color the hair, you will want to polish the white spots to get highlights, as shown in the example. You can trace these bright ones with the same color and hair later.

When you dye digitally, you can draw the hair color’s highlight. (Draw Anime Christmas Santa)

Step 12 – Add Blush & Shading

Draw the green with a series of striped lines and a combination of bright red around it.

Finally, to complete the drawing, you can add a standard search. Shadows will be added to areas where possible if the character is outside in a well-lit house during the day. (Draw Anime Christmas Santa)

Arrange shadows as follows:

The bottom of the “crimson” part of the hat and under the pom-pom

For curly haircuts and hairstyles themselves (for more on blonde hair, see: How to Hide Anime Hair Step By Step)

On the forehead (hair thrown)

On the upper parts of the eyes and above the irises (you can also color the pupils with the same dark green as they usually darken naturally)

  • Around the eyelids
  • Next to the nose
  • Neck (thrown head)
  • Below the “bow-tie” of the ribbon and its inner side
  • In the lower part of the “collar” of the garment and under it

Conclusion

This tutorial covers many of the other features you can find here on EasyAnimeDrawing. Although the detailed division of drawing the various parts of the character has made it a long time, hopefully, it also makes it easier for you to follow.
