How To Draw Anime Cat Girl Ears Step By Step

Draw Anime Cat Girl Ears – This quick tutorial explains how to draw an anime cat girl with animal ears. It can also draw other types of anime animal ear characters.

If you will follow the tutorial using pencil and paper, be sure to draw light lines for the first steps, as you will need to clear something later.

Step 1 – Draw a Head

Start by drawing the head first.

To help you make sure that the head and other features that will be drawn in the latest steps are aligned and evenly aligned, draw a straight line across what will be the center of the head/face later.

As there are already many tutorials here on AnimeOutline that show how to draw ahead, we will not go into too much detail in this tutorial.

Step 2 – Draw Cat Ears

To better understand how to put cat ears on the head, we will draw the main shape of the ears before painting the hair.

Remember that the hair has a specific volume and will cover the lower part of the ears. You will want to draw the ears a little longer than you want to appear in the last drawing.

The complete shape of each ear should resemble a triangle.

The far side (away from the viewer) of the ears will be hidden near the head curve.

At the end of the ears, you can add small hair clumps. Certain breeds of cats often have hair that protrudes from the sides of their ears.

Step 3 – Draw Face Features

To set the facial features, draw the eyes under the horizontal line drawn earlier, draw the nose between that line and the chin and draw the mouth slightly above the point between the nose and the chin.

Step 4 – Draw hair with Ear Fluff

As mentioned earlier, the lower part of the ears will be covered with hair.

With this hairstyle, we will paint the hair into large pieces. It will slightly follow the top of the head’s shape and hang down the curve in somewhat different directions towards the end.

Put some hair on the inside of the ears drawn with hair-like clusters.

Step 5 – Outline Drawing

Clean your drawing by wiping/removing any strands and hidden parts of the hair.

You may notice essential clothing and additional body details in this step.

Step 6 – Color & Shading

To color and shade, your painting starts by coloring in large areas with a primary color. Darker the shaded regions after you have finished filling in the primary color. Leave any highlights/exhibits blank when you color the paper or use it at the end of the calculation process when you draw digitally.

Conclusion

This tutorial focused on cat ears; it was short and did not include other aspects of drawing an anime character in detail.
